Industrial Manslaughter says Tony Abbott

Tony Abbott may have been quick to point the finger at Peter Garrett over the deaths of 4 insulation installers. However, when he was the Employment Minister in John Howard’s government, that was the average weekly death toll of breached welfare recipients. In November 2005, when the Senate’s Legal & Constitutional Affairs Committee was confronted with the appalling death toll from breaching, this Liberal  Party chaired committee secretly classified the submission as confidential. They also backed this up with a parliamentary privilege suppression order that prevented me from copying and distributing documents relating to these deaths.

The bottom line is that until I can afford a High Court challenge to the suppression order, you and other readers are not going to find out about a humanitarian disaster that affected 3 million people and killed an estimated 5,000+. “Only” 2,974 people died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks so that is why submission 287 to the Legal & Constitutional Affairs Committee was titled, “WHO ARE THE REAL TERRORISTS? Check out the submissions to the November 2005 inquiry into the Anti-Terrorism Bill #2 and you will find that officially submission 287 is “not yet available”. It won’t be avail;able until at least 2036 or even until 2106!!!
