The “unintended consequences” for politicians of creating Breaching policies.

(The postings in this Blog are a memorial to the more than 3 million Aussie Battlers have been Breached. It is especially a memorial to the (estimated) 5,000+ Aussie Battlers who did not survive being breached. Please, help to spread the word about this humanitarian disaster by using the “Share with a friend “link in the right hand column.)

Referring back to yesterday’s blog of my letter to Senator Arbib, during my conversation with “P” it was manifestly obvious that he was concerned about the potential political repercussions of my activities for he gravely warned me of the "unintended consequences" of my actions.

After pointing out that I had been very convincingly threatened in 2004, Phil qualified that comment by stating that the "unintended consequences" could see the "good work" done by the Rudd Government in the last two years lost because we live in a very conservative society (implied: that likes to sink the boot into the unemployed.) and I agreed that there could be unintended consequences.

It is manifestly obvious that Phil had not done his homework and read all of my blogs for "The law of unintended consequences" has featured prominently in my writings, especially the hi-jacking of the breaching legislation by CES staff, Job Network agencies and the Howard Government. Clearly the most unintended of consequences was the appalling death toll from that activity and the fact that serious criminal laws were broken in every state. Laws to which politicians and bureaucrats could be held accountable.

To recap and focus on the "unintended consequences" to welfare recipients and the families of deceased victims, these include:

(a)    Restitution of stolen benefits with accrued interest, which over 10 or 20 years could be substantial;

(b)    Compensation: If the Stolen Generation compensation is anything to go by, families of breaching murder victims could receive between $40,000 and $600,000 or more in compensation;

(c)    With 20% of voters having been breached and only surviving this horror with the active support of another 20% of voters, the political consequence is that neither the Liberal-National Coalition nor the ALP may be able to form a government without the support of welfare vote elected MPs and senators. I believe that that situation would rapidly ensure the restoration of constitutional, legal, civic and human rights to welfare recipients.

(d)    Politicians and bureaucrats responsible for the huge death toll would be held Accountable for their inhumane actions in a court of law. They created the “No search warrant required” laws that enable Centrelink to prosecute 10 or more welfare recipients per day and so it is only fair that politicians should be exposed to the same justice.

Have nothing to do with the worthless things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light. (Ephesians 5:11 – Good News Bible.)
